All 15 Carroll Teams Named to Scholar List, Football Highest GPA in the NAIA

KANSAS CITY – For the third year in a row, all 15 Carroll College teams were named to the NAIA Scholar Team list. Women's cross country led the way with a 3.58 team GPA. Carroll football had the highest team GPA in the nation among football teams while the Carroll men's basketball team was the only team in the postseason Coaches' Poll Top 10 (No. 6) and the GPA Top 10 (No. 3) for the second year in a row.
 
For a team to be considered for the NAIA Scholar-Team award, it must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution. The team grade point average includes all eligible varsity student-athletes.
 
The Saints surpassed the mark by a significant margin. The lowest team GPA was a 3.19, eight of the 15 teams surpassed a 3.3 GPA and five teams notched a 3.43 GPA or higher.
